About the Artist


Marilyn Callahan has been capturing the Florida Keys in her art since moving to Islamorada in 1974. As the co-owner and artist-in-residence of three art shops in the Upper Keys in the 1970’s and 80’s, Marilyn produced original paintings, batiks, prints, drawings, soft sculptures and textile designs that explored her fascination with the Keys’ natural beauty and history.

Most recently, Marilyn has focused her work on oil paintings, which she feels are the most direct form of expressing her love of the Keys.

Select originals and giclée prints on canvas and paper are available on this website and can also be purchased in person at 3 Arts Gallery at the Rain Barrel on Plantation Key in the Florida Keys. Marilyn's work can also be purchased on canvas at the Diamondhead Gallery in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii.
